Sew-into-Quilts Newsletter #10
Hello!
We hope you have enjoyed the lovely fall colors, abundant bounty of the harvest and yes even the unusual amount of rain. This Saturday Oct. 29th 1-4 is Deer Park Chamber of Commerce “Pumpkin Lane”. A safe, fun and event filled time for the little ones in your life to come Trick or Treat. There will be free hay rides, Many of the businesses and clubs will be decorated/dressed up and handing out candy. They have several area Mascots who will be at different locations to visit with the kiddos. Spokane Chiefs Boomer the Bear, Spokane Indians Recycle man, Deer Park HS’s Riverside HS’s . We will be enclosing our covered walkway into “Trick or Treat Cave”. This will not be scary, but rather focused on the younger, kids 8 and under. It will be decorated and there will be people dressed up inside as we hand out treats.
On Oct. 13th we reached a major milestone. We received and placed our 1,000th bolt of fabric! Yes, we now have over 1,000 bolts on display and for sale. We have since gotten in 3 more collections. Thank you for our support, smiles and friendship. You are greatly appreciated!!!
Christmas is coming up quickly and again we will have our Christmas tree going up Nov. 25th. As we did last year we are hoping and invite our customers to help us decorate the tree in celebration by making a quilting related ornament for our tree. Please write your name and the year on it somewhere. This year’s theme is 1, for our first anniversary. When you bring it in we will have you fill out a gift tag for our drawing of the gift basket that will go to 1 lucky person who’s name is drawn by our 7 year old grandson.
Do to the busyness of the season we are not having many classes, but the ones we are having would make lovely gifts. Some practical, some very useful and safety conscious and all of course really beautiful.
We will be taking part in the Row-by-Row experience 2017. A little over a week ago we got a head’s up on the theme for next year and have already designed our row. We are so excited and hope you like it too!
