Sew-into-Quilts & Sew-Fix-it Newsletter #2

Greetings Quilters!

We hear that many of you are enjoying the Spring type weather. We hope that doesn’t take you away from our sewing machines and quilting too much as you wander out to catch some of these rays of sunshine.

This last month brought some very exciting happening in our shop. On Feb. 7th we got word we had become the Greater Spokane/Inland Northwest Handi-Quilter Retailer/Rep. We had our first classes take place that were fun, informative and creative. It is always fun to see how the same pattern looks in different fabrics or how someone changes up the shape/size or whatever their imagination comes up with. We also got in our first Moda fabrics with some new just in today and some more coming on Friday.

Looking ahead:

This Saturday March 5th is our First Sew Super Saturday. We have space for 8 and I will supply the Donuts (to help curb those morning munchies) & soup for lunch. If everyone else can bring something to share for the potluck it should be pretty yummy. Bring your machine, supplies and projects to work on. The cost is $7.50 for the day. We will start with a FREE DEMO and a FREE COPY of the pattern. Then sew to your heart’s content while sharing support and friendship with others who share your passion for quilting. We will also have a Special of the day! Look for it when you come in. Hint it goes with 1 of the holidays this month!

You will have at least 1 hour of hands on time to practice with the machine while we make sure you are comfortable and understand bout the care and use of the machine.  We will provide the "quilt sandwich" for this training after which it will be completed and donated to a local animal rescue to bring comfort.  Sorry, this is not a time for doing a project you bring with you.  Thank you for understanding.  The cost for this is $45.00 and is required to rent our machines to quilt your projects in future rental.  Upon completion you will receive a card with you name, the date completed and signed by Jim or myself that shows all those working at the shop that you can rent our machines and know how to use them correctly.
